OUT OF PROVINCE INSPECTION

If you’ve purchased a vehicle outside Alberta or moved here from another province, your car must pass an Out of Province Inspection before it can be registered. At Newstead Mechanical Consulting, we are authorized through Gold Star Auto to perform these inspections, ensuring vehicles meet Alberta Transportation’s safety and mechanical requirements.

This inspection includes a full evaluation of your vehicle’s frame, body, electrical system, tires, suspension, and safety components. If issues are found, our team can handle repairs in-house, saving you time and hassle. With our expertise, we make the out-of-province inspection process smooth and straightforward.

To get started, visit your local registry office or AMA business to request an OPI form. These do have a cost, and are not publicly available. Then contact us to book your appointment to have the OPI conducted immediately.
